Happy Mother’s Day : A tribute to all the mothers

It is not just your birth alone but also the birth of a mother on the day you are born. A mother, who withstands all pains to bring you into this world, and when she does, she forgets all that pain and resistance that she has been through. Such is the endurance, love and happiness of a mother. And on this Mother’s day, I would take this opportunity to dedicate this blog post to my mom.

Being a mother is no mean task. It is as selfless as it could get to no ends. During our infant days, from feeding us milk to making sure that we sleep with a peace of mind and in process disturbing their sleep, a mother goes through a lot of hardships for us. It doesn’t end right there though. When we grow up a bit, her duty increases to getting us ready in time for our school, preparing tiffin for our lunch and helping us complete our homework for school. And ultimately she lets us go off in order for us to shape our lives but keeps a constant check just to ensure we don’t mess up anywhere in life. It is just impossible to even imagine anyone else doing what our mother does that too with the same love and dedication.

A mother is an epitome of selfless love, dedication, patience and commitment. I am personally more than just incomplete without my mother. I may not able to remember where I kept a certain thing yesterday, but my mom bears such memory that she can tell me what is kept where even if that item was last seen months ago. A mother need not be a Facebook addict, a geeky nerd so as to appeal to you. Even without these qualities, she exclusively holds the key to most of your problems that are resolved just by her warmth and affection.

Is there anything else more kind and gentle than a mother’s heart? Is there anything more supportive than your mother? Is there anything that you feel can be more protective than your mother’s arms? Finally, is there anything that could be more unconditional than a mother’s love? Probably you all have the answer to these questions.

Mother’s day is a special day and time to make our mothers know what they mean to us, what worth they hold for us and how much special they are to us. We may argue with them, disagree with them, but in the end we simply love them. So let your feelings flow and let your mothers know. There was, there is and there would be no one else like your mother.

And this goes out to all the mothers of the world, Happy Mother’s Day 🙂

  7. Nice post…. Only source i feel from where you get real LOVE or to be specific UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. She doesn’t get upset or leave you if you don’t reciprocate to her love sometimes.
